Jim Couch Mill Dedication
Nearly 150 people gathered together on Oct. 8, 2011 to dedicate the Jim Couch Mill at the main campus of Opportunity Foundation of Central Oregon
Ben Westlund Project
Work began in the spring of 2011 on a landscape project at our main campus in Redmond to honor former State Treasurer, Bend Westlund. Ben was a huge supporter of our mission and this project will be a permanent memorial for the good work he did for our organization. Funds raised by the Westlund Memorial Trust have been designated to be used to cleanup and landscape an area used by clients and staff for breaks and lunch hours.
Eileen Obermiller of Dappled Earth, has designed and is supervising the project which will include raised flower beds, native grasses, shade and fruit trees, walking paths, and refurbished picnic tables. She has generously donated a large portion of her consulting hours so that we can make this project a reality.
