LEAD VOCATIONAL AIDE, Custodial Services
Character Qualities: Commitment to the OFCO mission of providing life improvement services within supportive and respectful settings for people with disabilities. The Vocational Aide is expected to contribute to staff morale by supporting the team with enthusiasm, confidence, and loyalty, and work effectively and productively as a team member. Must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills, use respectful and courteous language when communicating with, customers, team members, clients, parents, and /or guardians, and present a pleasant, positive attitude. Must be emotionally stable, patient, tolerant, tactful, alert, and follow organizational dress code.
Description of Job: Supporting individual with developmental disabilities in the Vocational setting. Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans, to include vocational goals and objectives. Responsible for quality assurance and best quality customer service in delivery of cleaning services in accordance with all custodial contracts. Responsible for transportation and work supervision of custodial crew made up of production workers and client custodians. Support directives of Program Manager and Supervisor, and assist in maintaining work tracking and customer feedback systems to ensure efficient delivery of best quality services. Assist in implementation of the Custodial Training Program, to include training crew members in cleaning, quality assurance, and safety procedures. Report supply and maintenance needs to Program Manager and/or Supervisor. Support clients' choices in community activities that include transportation. Comprehend and comply with State and Federal regulations that are applicable to the program, and follow OFCO's established Policies and Procedures and changes as mandated by the organization
Physical abilities: Requires the ability to routinely stand, lift, reach, twist, bend, sit, stoop, and occasionally kneel. Must be able to pick up and lift 10 pounds routinely, 25 pounds occasionally, and 40 pounds occasionally with the help of another or a device. Due the nature of the job, you may be required to occasionally lift more than 40 pounds with the help of another or a device.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED desired.
Experience in custodial work and supervisory skills desirable.
Experience in rehabilitation and/or the provision of services to people with disabilities desirable.
Required to pass DHS criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
Valid Oregon driver's license, good driving record, and proof of personal automobile insurance required.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) OR CNA
Character Qualities: At least 18 years old, flexible, able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be committed to the OFCO mission of providing life improvement services within a supportive and respectful setting for people with disabilities. The DSP is expected to contribute to staff morale with enthusiasm, confidence, loyalty, and work effectively and productively as a team member. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, use respectful and courteous language when communicating with team members, residents, parents and /or guardians and present a pleasant positive attitude. Must be emotionally stable, patient, tolerant, tactful, alert, and follow organization dress code.
Description of Job: Supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a Residential Program. Duties include but are not limited to personal care, transportation for community, leisure activities, documentation, medication administration, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, etc. Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) to include objectives related to participating in desired activities.
