Light
manufacturing and assembly
Our
assembly services can help you reduce production costs. By outsourcing
part of your assembly processes, you free up resources and floor space
for more value-added uses. We can tackle your occasional projects,
too. When you partner with us, you can focus on doing what you do
best. We will take on about any project and deliver it the way you
want it, when you want it.
Confidential document shredding
Our confidential document destruction
service ensures your documents are properly destroyed. We shred
documents into one-quarter inch strips, bale them and then sell the
1,000-pound bales to paper manufacturers.
The Opportunity Foundation provides
confidential document destruction services to a wide range of private
businesses and public agencies. Attorneys, hospitals, doctors,
certified public accountants and state and local government agencies
trust us with their documents.
As an employer of adults with
disabilities and a Qualified Rehabilitation Facility, the Opportunity
Foundation has been reviewed by the State of Oregon Department of
Administrative Services and received certification to provide document
destruction services for publicly funded agencies. We are also fully
compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act.

Recycling
The Opportunity Foundation recycles
paper, plastic, and clothing. Our clothing recycling service is an
outgrowth of our thrift stores in Central
Oregon. Instead of dumping
unsold clothing into a landfill, we send it to
under-developed
countries or convert it to rags. We now offer this service to other
thrift shops or similar operations.
The Opportunity Foundation's recycling
service assures your tax–deductible thrift store donation will be used
and not thrown away.
The Opportunity Foundation also offers
plastics recycling, including bags, shrink wrap or plastic lumber
wrap. The plastic is baled and recycled, avoiding disposal in area
landfills.
